| RLC Engineering, LLC performs hardwood floor inspections throughout the United States. Clients include homeowners, building owners, builders and general contractors, insurance companies, attorneys, and flooring installers, retailers, distributors and manufacturers. Inspections include floors made of solid wood, engineered wood, site-finished, or factory finished. Woods include domestic and foreign hardwood and softwood (such as antique pine) as well as bamboo (which is not a wood.) Benefits of using RLC Engineering, LLC: Reports are generated based on data obtained from the floor and building, along with interviews of involved people and product and/or project documentation. Conclusions and recommendations, if applicable, are based on appropriate industry standards in conjunction with physics and sound wood science. My track record on floors that have gone legal is very good. Philosophy: I perform detailed, technical inspections with clear, concise reports. I will not necessarily tell you what you want to hear, but I will tell you what you need to hear. My inspections and reports are unbiased. I don't have a problem making a manufacturer, installer, builder, or owner upset. Yes, it bothers me, but it doesn't sway my inspection. My philosophy is that you are paying me well to tell you what happened to the floor, so I will tell you what happened to the floor. It is that simple. Credentials NOFMA CWFI program instructor - I cover wood technology, construction and building science topics related to wood floors and wood floor problems. NWFA CWFI A PhD in engineering related to wood and moisture, with years of experience.
